Ceevah Sobel, Warm Springs Canyon at Death Valley

The heat made my energy level about as slow as the gurgling stream rambling from the bathtub size pool...The forceful energy of the rushing water from Parker Creek at the first site was now as exhausted as my body was. The water here in this oasis was barely moving ...so opposite my first piece. I tied a pine cone to a tree branch and let it dangle in the water. It was still a "force indicator" only now there was barely any force. I spread wildflower seeds beside the pond leading to the hanging pine cone. I left a pine cone resting on a rock. We departed in the May 29 - record setting 122 degree heat. On the drive home, I returned with a pine cone.
